STAY STEADY
Life has a way of either propelling you along or stopping you in your tracks
This is something I think everyone battles at some point in their lives.
How do you stay steady...
When you lose a close friend...
When you lose a close family member...
When your house needs major work done...
When you have a career shift...
When things just put you into 'halt mode'...
Staying Steady is sometimes not an easy thing!!
It is not always a clear path or thought!

The turning point was my last birthday. I turned 60 ❤️
I have shifted into the ' younger senior' portion of my life.
I don't necessarily look like a senior is why I say it is the younger senior portion 🤔
I also don't always feel like a senior!
I definitely forget many times that when I see 'older people'
I have to remind myself that I am now closer to being that person!
I have many varied friendships
All ages - all walks of life.
We enjoy one another's company
Age is really only a number!
Age is just a state of mind!
Thankfully, I still move better than I should!
Is an experience everyone gets to have at least once, at any point in their existence while living in this crazy world.
How you deal with it depends on your support system...
How you deal with it also depends on your mental support system...

Staying steady when things change can be difficult and hard.
Staying steady can also mean you just embrace the changes,
Looking forward to what is yet to come!
Life is ever changing - no matter what season you are in:

Those children start living their own adult lives
They don't need you in quite the same way
You aren't really needed to kiss skinned knees
You aren't really needed to fix a crushed heart
You aren't really needed to be at their beck and call
However, You ARE needed to stay steady
You ARE needed to be there when they need advice
You ARE needed to be there when they want to know about family history
You ARE needed simply because you are YOU!

'Stay steady' is described in many ways:
It can be about your mental and emotional state...
Whether you are a rock or you are like the wind - always moving...
Staying Steady can also mean
Staying calm, even when your world is chaotic...
We are definitely living in uncertain times right now!
Staying Steady can really mean just not going with the crowd!
Staying steady is also something
that you might give to another
who is really struggling!
I do have some moments where I am sad - but they don't last for very long!
I have always been wired this way.
I listen to music that pulls me back.
I delve deeper into my faith and I recover my joy
I write a blog to uplift others (And myself)
I read a great book and laugh 😃 (And sometimes cry)
I just don't stay down long!
I absolutely have my moaning and groaning periods - that I snap out of fairly quickly.
I have many people in my world - that snapping back or pulling themselves back into the positive side isn't easy or even possible.
I try to provide an ear to listen...
I try to have the shoulder to cry on...
I try to just be there...
I attempt to stay steady for them!
Some have life experiences that scar them forever...
Some have losses that continually hurt their hearts...
Some have a rough time with their depression and overall mental health...
Some just need someone who will stay steady...
Someone to count on...
Someone to lean on...
Someone to give light to their darkness...
Someone to hold them up when they are knocked down...
Someone to tell them that they are WORTHY!!
Because who really doesn't need that at low points in their lives?
ABSOLUTELY NOT!!
I fall
I fail
I stumble
I grumble
I moan and whine
I lose sight of the beauty of life
If I fall, I stand back up!
When I fail, I try again!
When I stumble, I keep going!
When I grumble, I count my many, many blessings!
When I moan and whine
I try to look for any silver linings.
When I lose sight of the beauty of life
I take a walk outside at sunset or when the stars are in a beautiful dark sky.
It isn't always a quick process!
It definitely isn't easy to stay steady -
especially during chaos!
I am definitely ready...
Are you?
Who can you encourage today?
Who can you lift up and share joys with?
Who needs a shoulder to cry on?
Who needs a listening ear with no judgements?
Who can you Stay Steady for?
Have a blessed week and remember...
